On April 26, Tri-County EMC, in partnership with the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, hosted an Electric Vehicle Demonstration Day at Central Georgia Technical College’s Milledgeville Campus.

Approximately 150 attendees heard from nationally-known speakers about the growing electric vehicle industry. With topics including charging, range, investment and lifestyle, attendees got a glimpse of what it would be like to own and drive an electric vehicle in daily life. In addition, first responders were able to gain basic knowledge about what to do if they are on an accident scene with an electric vehicle.

Attendees were able to test drive several electric and hybrid vehicles.

“The goal of EV19 was to help people understand the hype of EVs by giving them a chance to drive one,” said Greg Mullis, vp of corporate services. “We wanted to give them the opportunity to learn from the experts about EVs too.”

If you were not able to attend EV19, Tri-County EMC is planning to host an Electric Vehicle Demonstration Day in Gray next year. Details will be included in Current Lines as they become available. (66390001)
