Tri-County EMC Foundation Awards $20,500 in December

The Tri-County EMC Foundation met in December to discuss applications submitted by non-profit organizations for Operation Roundup Grants. Out of 15 applicants, 7 were awarded grants totaling $20,500 to go toward community projects in the Tri-County service area. 

BALDWIN COUNTY EARLY LEARNING CENTER:
$1,000 to purchase gloves and winter hats for students to wear during outside time. (96044001)

EATONTON FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH:
$9,000 to assist with the purchase of food for children’s backpacks in the 2024 school year.

JONES COUNTY DFCS:
$2,500 to purchase food and soft goods for the local pantry serving low-income families.

STONE CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH:
$2,500 to help furnish local senior citizens with a care package of household necessities.

MILLEDGEVILLE KAPPA LEAGUE:
$1,500 to go towards travel costs for young men attending the Annual Kappa League Leadership Conference.

RIVERBEND JAIL DOG PROGRAM:
$2,500 to help cover veterinary and food costs for dogs going through the training program.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS:
$1,500 to assist with the installation of a well for a local veteran currently living without running water.
