Tri-County EMC Foundation Awards $33,000 in September

The Tri-County EMC Foundation Board met on September 11 to evaluate third quarter applications submitted for Operation Roundup Grants. Eleven organizations were awarded a total of $33,469.81. Below is a list of winning organizations. The deadline to submit an application for the next round of funding is December 1.
BALDWIN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
$2,000 to support the Holiday Nutrition Program, which provides food to Baldwin County students and their families during school breaks
CENTENNIAL BAPTIST CHURCH
$800 to fund the electrical work to complete the well repair of a community member who has been living without running water
MIDDLE GEORGIA COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY
$7,500 for home-delivered or take-home meals for elderly adults living in Jones County senior care facilities
PUTNAM CHRISTIAN OUTREACH
$7,312.50 to support the organization’s Backpack Ministry
STONE CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH
$1,000 to stock the church’s community pantry
VELMA MCFADDEN FOOD BANK
$2,500 to purchase food for the pantry
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
$5,000 to help cover the cost of families in need
WESLEY CHAPEL CHURCH
$2,000 to purchase a bike with adaptive equipment for a Putnam County resident with Spina Bifida
PUTNAM READS, INC.
$2,000 to support the participation of Putnam County children and their families in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
ADVENTURE BAGS, INC.
$2,000 to provide bags filled with overnight essentials to children being placed in foster care
UNION CHAPEL METHODIST CHURCH
$1,357.31 to build a ramp for a local elderly woman who lives alone and is recuperating from a broken hip
