Tri-County EMC Foundation Grants $13,910 in June

On June 13, the Tri-County EMC Foundation Board met to consider applications from 14 organizations to receive an Operation Roundup Grant. Eight projects were funded for a total of $13,910. The Operation Roundup program is made possible through the generosity of our members who elect to have their bill rounded up each month.
Baldwin County Early Learning Center: $750 to purchase clothing items for children enrolled in the Early Learning Center.
New City East Side: $500 to help cover the cost of school supplies, underclothing, socks, and food items to distribute at the Second Annual Back-to-School Bash.
Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia: $2,500 to purchase beds and mattresses to accommodate children living with their mothers in the Life-Recovery Program.
Velma McFadden Women Missionary Food Bank: $2,790 to purchase a six-month supply of food for the pantry.
Burn Foundation of America, Inc.: $1,500 to support burn patient recovery.
Special Olympics Georgia: $1,250 to help cover the expenses of 23 athletes in the State Competition.
ManUp Mentoring: $2,500 to help fund two college tours and other aspects of the mentoring program.
Georgia College and State University: $2,120 to support the Little Free Libraries projects that provides books and resources to K-12 students in Baldwin County.
