Tri-County EMC Foundation Grants $16,300 in June

In June 2021, the Tri-County EMC Foundation Board approved grants for 7 projects, totaling $16,391.27 in Operation Roundup funds, to benefit organizations or individuals in local communities.
Communities in Schools of Milledgeville/Baldwin County: $7,500 to purchase coats, shoes and school supplies for homeless students within Baldwin County Schools.
Haddock Baptist Church: $750 to purchase materials to construct a wheelchair ramp for an elderly couple with declining health in Jones County.
Immanuel Baptist Church: $1,641.27 to install a porch and ramp for an individual who cannot walk due to a stroke living in Twiggs County
Jones County Veterans Committee: $1,000 to purchase military service hats for local veterans for the 2021 Veterans Day Celebration
Middle Georgia Sonrise Ministries: $2,500 to assist an individual in Jones County in purchasing needed items after her home was lost in a fire
Oak Hill Middle School FFA Chapter: $2,000 to purchase seeds and plants for the FFA garden to provide food for those in need in partnership with local food banks in Baldwin County.
Special Olympics Georgia: $1,000 to allow nine athletes from the Tri-County EMC service area to participate in a weekend-long state competition and receive free healthcare screenings/wellness education
