Two Students Participate In Virtual Leadership Experience

Two deserving Putnam County students, Hannah Allen and Breshyia Farley, were chosen to represent Tri-County EMC in the Virtual Washington Youth Tour - a leadership development experience for students from EMCs across the state.
“After our annual Washington Youth Tour was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID, we wanted to give our students a top-notch leadership opportunity,” said Kim Broun, Manager of Energy Services. “While we know the virtual event will not be the same as an in-person tour of DC, this event will offer several leadership development opportunities, personality assessments, the opportunity to meet with elected officials and offer suggestions on how students can get involved in their communities.” Students will also have the opportunity to compete for scholarships during the event.
Plans are being made for an in-person tour of Washington D.C. in June 2022. For additional information, visit www.tri-countyemc.com/washingtonyouthtour.cms. Applications will be available later this year. (40234001)
