Long-time Tri-County EMC Director Tommy Noles resigned from his District 3 - Post 2 board seat on November 30, 2023. Elected to represent our Baldwin, Wilkinson, and Twiggs County membership in 1986, Tommy has dedicated over 37 years of service to the cooperative.

Serving as a director goes back to the Seven Cooperative Principles - one of which is duty of service to the community. The commitment of a director requires both education and training to be able to mitigate risk, approve the cooperative’s rates and budgets, understand power supply, make financial decisions, promote the cooperative business model, and keep up to date on political and environmental news affecting the EMC. Tommy has exemplified the qualities of a great Tri-County EMC Director. Throughout his tenure, he was elected to 12 consecutive three-year terms, attended over 400 board meetings, and served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the board over three decades.

Directors and employees extend their gratitude to Tommy for his devotion to Tri-County EMC and what he has helped the cooperative accomplish in his 37 years of service. “We will miss Tommy’s experience and insight along with his friendship,” says CEO Ray Grinberg. “He has always considered the employees of Tri-County EMC as family.”

The Tri-County EMC Board of Directors has begun the process of gathering interest to fill the vacant seat.
