Watching for Winter Weather

Friday, January 14 at 12:45pm:

We are watching national, state and local weather forecasts in preparation for this weekend’s weather. As of Friday morning, forecasts predict that most of the wintry precipitation will occur north of Interstate 20, which is north of our service area.

The main threat to our service area will be heavy rain and wind, but a few flurries and some ice accumulation cannot be ruled out at this point.

We know that weather can change quickly, so we will continue to monitor the situation throughout the weekend. As always, our crews stand ready for any power outage that may occur.

In the meantime, Tri-County EMC members can monitor outages using our online outage map. They can also report power outages using one of the methods below. (I’ve attached a graphic with this information as well)

We do encourage our members to follow us on social media for updates.
