Tri-County EMC encourages the proper application and use of reliable, renewable energy, which is generated from renewable natural resources such as sunlight, biomass, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat.

Green Power EMC, the first renewable energy program in Georgia, offers Tri-County EMC members the opportunity to support cleaner, renewable energy created from resources here in Georgia where we live, work and play.  By selecting to purchase Green Power, you can choose how some or all of the energy used in your home is generated. 

Georgia’s EMCs, together with Green Power EMC, developed the Energy Education Program in 2005 as a partner in education program providing an in-class solar learning laboratory for students across the state. The program provides participating schools with on-site solar panels and the software necessary to study energy produced by the sun.
